Welcome to LAUDjournal, a platform where we share ideas, knowledge, and stories to promote a more climate-resilient, green, and just planet. Creating a space for shared stories, insights, and design ideas and strategies has always been a goal of mine. I believe that the more we share, the bigger the change—and we need to remember that even small actions can lead to meaningful impacts.

At LAUD studio, we believe that to move toward a greener and more equitable future, we need a holistic approach to designing and developing climate-resilient and adaptable spaces for all beings. This vision is what sparked the idea for LAUDjournal.

Through the journal, we will share:

• Stories from a global practicing design studio: Lessons learned through our projects

• Design insights: Practical tips and creative approaches to sustainable, climate-adaptable landscapes

• Nature-based solutions: Deep dives into strategies and design interventions that not only address climate change but also promote just cities

  
  

We see nature-based solutions as powerful tools to rebuild our relationship with nature while fostering inclusivity and equity. And we cannot talk about climate change without addressing gender equality and how it is inevitably intertwined with the climate crisis and its tragic consequences.

At LAUD studio, we believe that by shifting our focus and addressing the planet’s pressing challenges with a holistic perspective and an open mind, we can design cities that are greener, more inclusive, just, and resilient.
